Rough translation(DeepL+correction): Awaken - Haruhiro wakes up to the sound of voices coming from somewhere, and finds himself in a strange place where he meets everyone from his party. There are Manato, Moguzo, and Kuzaku?! This is a story about Grimgar that has never been told in either the novel or anime.
There’s also a B2 sized tapestry of the cover image, which I also bought for 800 yen.
Revision note: I should’ve taken better photos, or even a photo scan of the outer box. They’re in storage now for keep, and I don’t want to open the whole box just for this. Hope I get the chance to do it later.

Q: What is this?
A: Back in 2016, JP version of Volume 13 had a special release with 2 audio drama CDs included. Fandom WIKI
Q: How much did it cost?
A: I bought this copy on mercari.jp, a second hand market in Japan, for 2200 yen($20 USD). It arrived brand-new with some minor scratches and both CDs sealed. Pretty good deal I would say, considering the original price is 3200 yen. That being said, the chance of you finding it at this price now in 2021(and also in the future) would be low. The number of people selling this is already low enough that some sellers was able to jack the price up to 8000+ yen.
Translation
I don’t understand Japanese, except that I could read Kanji. So I’ve tried using an Speech2Text application(IBM Watson worked) and running the whole transcript through DeepL. The result is both good and bad at the same time. You could definitely piece out some context but the translations are pretty “wild” for some parts. I didn’t have the money to hire a translator, so I’ll leave it as is.
Thoughts
Just hearing the voices delights me. Hope you will feel the same as well. Grimgar is an awesome piece of work, even if the quality of recent volumes has been dropping a bit, it still remains as my 2nd favorite LN series. Not all perfect but that’s what makes Grimgar charming.
The Grimgar fan base is a small community, and I imagine it would stay as is for the near future. r/HaiToGensouNoGrimgar only has 4.9k members, and not everyone enjoys reading. The community discord only has 866 members at the moment, but even after these years, it’s still kept active thanks to some dedicated people. Unless one day an adaption of the second season got released, we won’t get a huge influx of new people. It’s a bit sad thinking it that way, but on the other hand, being in a smaller community did make me feel more comfortable and more involved.
